How to set up email forwarding for documents
Find your inbound email address
Every DocExtract account has a unique email address for receiving documents. You'll find it on the upload page under the "Email" tab.
Set up forwarding
In your email client, create a forwarding rule. Any email that matches your criteria — like invoices from a specific vendor — gets forwarded to your DocExtract address.
What happens next
DocExtract picks up the attachment from the forwarded email and starts processing it. You'll see the document in your dashboard within seconds.
Tips for best results
Make sure the document is attached to the email, not just pasted in the body. PDFs work best. If the sender includes the document as an attachment, forwarding will work perfectly.
